Last night, Bella Kay made a stop at Philadelphia’s Theatre of Living Arts as part of the opening stretch of her North American tour in support of her new album, My Reckless Abandon.
The debut album was released in July and features intimate songwriting backed by pop beats, making for an infectious and fun-filled set that captures what it feels like to be a teenager today. Fans were especially locked in during viral hits like “The Sick” and “iloveitiloveitiloveit” where hands and phones were up in the air, and all smiles across the room.
The stage design included a cozy set up, complete with a vintage couch, shag rugs and personal posters. This combo of intimate visuals and lyrics that sounded like they were ripped straight from her diary created a warm atmosphere where fans felt comfortable to scream along like they were alone in their own bedrooms.
The My Reckless Abandon tour continues across the US throughout September and early-October. She’ll also be joining Noah Kahan this Fall as part of his The Great Divide tour and will open for Gracie Abrams during the UK stretch of her Look at My Life tour in March of next year.
