BLEACHERS

Bleachers, The Mann Center, Philadelphia, PA 6/13/2026

A few weeks back, I attended the Everyone For Ten Minutes album release party in Asbury Park. It was originally supposed to be Shadow of the City, but relentless rain had other plans. We've had no shortage of storms around here lately. Funny enough, the very next week I saw Young the Giant as a fan, and that show was cut short because of the weather too. It was still incredible, but we're here to talk about Bleachers.

Jack Antonoff and company have done it again. Everyone For Ten Minutes has been out for about a month now, and the response has been incredible. Much of the tour has already sold out, with additional dates being added due to demand. At the release party in Jack's home state of New Jersey, I got to hear a handful of songs from the new record. Tonight, though, I finally got to experience most of the album live. At the release show they performed four new tracks, but this time the setlist featured seven.

After picking up my photo wristband and ticket from the box office, I made my usual first stop: the merch stand. I always like seeing what's new. I loved the lavender long-sleeve they had available, and each city also had its own limited-edition poster. Naturally, I'm a little biased, but the Philadelphia design has been my favorite so far.

As I was looking around, I heard someone call out to me.

"Hey there, stranger!"

It was my good friend Tori working the merch booth. She was helping with a special signed setlist giveaway, and it was great catching up. Since we both work a lot of VIP tours together, we spent a few minutes talking about upcoming gigs before I headed into the venue. One of my favorite parts about local concerts is running into people I care about. Tori was only the beginning for tonight.

Soon enough, the opening act, Hovvdy, took the stage. I made my way into the photo pit, excited because my friend Lex had introduced me to the band not too long ago. Sure enough, they played "Jean," one of the songs she originally showed me. It somehow sounded even better live. The band was incredibly appreciative, thanking Bleachers for inviting them out on a few dates of the tour.

After Hovvdy wrapped up, I climbed to the top of the venue to find one of my best friends, Sean. He was there with his girlfriend Katie and their friend Dan. It was their first Bleachers show, and the excitement was contagious. Sean had already picked up one of the new tour shirts, and Katie wasn't far behind. We snapped a few photos together with the Philadelphia skyline behind us before making our way down to our seats.
