Concert Review: The Glockaveli Tour Brought Talent, Tribute, and Turn Up to Houston
The Glockaveli Tour made an early stop in Houston, and from start to finish, it felt more like a celebration than a concert. The city showed up, and Key Glock, Memphis native and Paper Route Empire star, made sure we had a night to remember.
The energy was already amped up as a few openers warmed up the stage, but things took a real turn when Sheck Wes stepped out. Signed to Travis Scott’s Cactus Jack label, Sheck didn't just perform; he lit the place on fire. With explosive energy, nonstop movement, and raw crowd engagement, he transformed the room into a full-blown party. He delivered high-powered performances of “FIEN,” “Stick,” and of course, his breakout anthem “Live Sheck Wes,” which had the crowd losing their minds. It was pure electricity.
Then the moment everyone was waiting for arrived. The lights dropped, the bass hit, and Key Glock made his entrance. He stepped out wearing a pink hoodie, jean shorts, and a stunning iced-out dolphin chain that carried deep emotional weight. The chain originally belonged to his late cousin and mentor, Young Dolph. It was a piece Dolph had ordered before his passing, and Key Glock later paid for it in his honor. Seeing him wear it on stage felt powerful and personal, an unspoken moment of tribute that grounded the entire night.
Key Glock’s setlist was a ride from start to finish. Fan favorites like “Let’s Go,” “3AM in ToKEYo,” “Glockaveli,” “Russian Cream,” and “100 Shots” had the crowd rapping every word. At one point, Glock turned the mic over to his fans during a special tribute to Young Dolph. A few were brought on stage to perform Dolph’s track “Preach,” and no one disappointed. They knew every single word. It was a moving, community-driven moment that reminded everyone of the legacy Dolph left behind and the impact he continues to have.
Key Glock was accompanied by dancers who brought rhythm, movement, and an extra layer of energy to the stage without pulling focus. They simply amplified the vibe. In true Southern fashion, Glock also made a point to show love to the city. When he brought out Houston legend Bun B, the crowd went wild. It was a moment of mutual respect and a reminder that Glock doesn’t just perform; he honors the culture of every city he touches.
From start to finish, the Houston stop on the Glockaveli Tour was a powerful mix of energy, gratitude, and connection. Key Glock gave fans everything they came for the hits, the vibe, and a night that felt both celebratory and sentimental. Through his performance, his presence, and the tribute to Young Dolph, it’s clear that Glock is not just carrying the torch. He is letting Dolph’s legacy live on with pride, purpose, and passion.
