SHINEDOWN
Shinedown, Xfinity Mobile Arena, Philadelphia, PA 7/23/2026
Shinedown at Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia proved once again why they are a can’t-miss live act. Rock veterans Coheed and Cambria opened the night and instantly had the crowd energized. Singer Claudio Sanchez was all over the stage, shaking his hair and jumping around as the band powered through what felt like a quick 10-song set. They closed out their time onstage with “Welcome Home,” their signature hit that was released 21 years ago, leaving the crowd ready for the main event.
When it was finally time for Shinedown, the band delivered their usual theatrical entrance. Two bandits made their way onto the stage, bringing out the man with the TV on his head as Peter Gabriel’s “Sledgehammer” played. The crowd erupted, and moments later, the band came running onto the stage.
I knew Shinedown was known for using plenty of pyro, but I was honestly blown away by just how many explosions and fire effects they packed into the show. During “Diamond Eyes (Boom-Lay Boom-Lay),” firework-like bursts exploded across the stage, creating an incredible visual to go along with the song. One of the coolest moments of the entire night came during “Devil,” when the entire stage was drenched in red while constant pyro burned around the band. It was an absolutely stunning sight.
After the first portion of the set, the band made their way down to the B-stage, where singer Zach Myers delivered a heartfelt solo tribute to Pierre Robert, the legendary local Philadelphia radio personality. It was a particularly special moment for the Philly crowd and showed the band’s appreciation for the city and its music community.
The surprises continued when Shinedown returned to the main stage for the third portion of the set. They delivered two unexpected covers, starting with Three Doors Down’s “Kryptonite” before breaking into Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Simple Man.” They followed those covers with my all-time favorite Shinedown song, “Sound of Madness,” which was met with a huge response from the Philadelphia crowd.
The band closed out the night with their 2008 hit “Second Chance,” a fitting and emotional way to bring the evening to an end.
Between the massive production, nonstop pyro, unexpected covers, heartfelt Philly tribute, and a setlist packed with hits, Shinedown delivered an unforgettable night at Xfinity Mobile Arena. It was another performance that proved exactly why Shinedown remains a can’t-miss live show.
