SOMBR

Sombr, Brooklyn Bowl, Philadelphia, PA 4/15/25.

We caught rising Billboard Hot 100 artist Sombr at Brooklyn Bowl Philadelphia and he did not disappoint. At just 19 years old, Sombr is going viral for his now-signature “crashing out” moments on stage, where he stumbles and thrashes around to close his set in dramatic fashion. His breakout tracks “Undressed” and “Back to Friends” have taken off on TikTok, and he’s riding that wave on tour with Daniel Seavey.

The lineup brought out a younger crowd on a weeknight, which also meant plenty of supportive dads tagging along. But they weren’t just watching from the sidelines, they were dancing and singing along like everyone else.

Kyle Kelly opened the show with high energy, winning over the crowd with a cover of Katy Perry’s “Hot n Cold”. Bonus points for rocking a classic Wawa T-shirt, true East Coast energy.

As soon as Sombr took the stage, the vibe shifted. He brought a brooding, emotionally charged energy that paired perfectly with his humble stage presence. During “Undressed,” he kept the crowd engaged with shouts of “Come on!”, “Jump!”, and “Lose your f*cking minds!” and they did.

His live band matched his energy beat for beat, especially during “Back to Friends,” when Sombr tackled his guitarist mid-song and stumbled around the stage, creating the signature “crash out” moment that fans wait for. It was wild, theatrical, and completely effective.

Daniel Seavey followed with a high-octane set that kept the momentum going. A standout moment was his cover of “Pink Pony Club” by Chappell Roan. After the show, Seavey came down to personally greet fans, offering hugs and handshakes and later made time for everyone waiting by the tour bus. He didn’t keep anyone waiting long either. A real class act.

Sombr returned after the show too, bringing his guitarist outside to perform his two viral songs with fans in the crowd. It was smart and intentional, he’s using the same successful formula each night: a dramatic stage exit, high crowd engagement, and intimate fan interactions outside.

These moments aren’t just memorable, they’re made for TikTok. It’s clear that Sombr knows how to build a fanbase in the digital age.

I’m glad I stumbled onto Sombr’s music before this tour because I might’ve missed an unforgettable night. If you’re looking for an emotional release, a fun night out, or a new artist to obsess over, a Sombr show is the place to be.
